How can Group therapy help me?

Grief of any kind can be an extremely painful and often isolating experience. This group is for those wanting a safe, supportive space to process the emotions that come after (or before) the loss of a loved one, the ending of a significant relationship or around a major life transition.

This group will meet weekly for 2 hours and will run 8 weeks.

The group sessions provide an opportunity for members to share their stories and connect with others who understand what they are going through.

Our licensed therapist, Annie, will guide the conversation, offering tools and techniques to manage difficult emotions, encourage self-reflection, and offer strategies to move forward. Annie may also provide education on topics related to grief, self-care, communication, and healthy coping mechanisms.

Members of this group are encouraged to set goals and work on individualized self-care plans, including activities that promote physical, emotional, and mental well-being. The therapy will provide opportunities for members to practice new skills and tools to help manage negative emotions and cope with difficult situations.

By the end of the group therapy, members will have developed a greater understanding of themselves, their emotions, and their needs, and will have learned valuable tools and strategies to navigate life after loss and move forward with a renewed sense of hope.
